Post 11 Working with AI Most under 100 AED / mo

10 jobs you can hand to AI: what each one does, costs and leaves to you

If you run a small business in the UAE, you’re probably doing ten jobs yourself. This is a map of the series: ten AI agents, from a research agent to a chief of staff for your day, with what each one does, when it runs, the tools it uses and the part that stays yours. Six already have a step-by-step guide.

Ten jobs, one owner

In a small UAE business, the owner answers WhatsApp at midnight, chases late payments, keeps track of the trade licence, Ejari, visas and the next VAT return, posts on Instagram when they remember, and then tries to run the business.

Most of that work is reading, sorting, drafting and reminding, which is the part AI does well. Deciding a price, a refund or a hire is not. Every job on this page splits the same way: the agent does the routine part on a schedule or when a message arrives, and you keep the decisions.

Use this page to pick where to start. Each job below says what it does, when it runs, which tools it uses, why it’s worth the effort and what stays with you. Six of the ten already have a full guide on wkl.ae.

The ten jobs

  1. 10 · Research Guide coming

Research agent: what your competitors changed this week

It watches the competitors you name for new prices, offers and launches, checks their listings and ratings on Talabat, Noon and Google Maps, reads their reviews for what customers love and hate, and sends you a Friday brief with what changed and one thing to do about it.

Runs: every Friday at 9:00 · Tools: Claude, web search, Gmail

Why it pays: there are more than 140% more active SME licences in the UAE than in 2020 (UAE Council for Entrepreneurship, 2026). More competitors means more to keep up with.

Your part: choose who to watch, then act on the brief.

  2. 9 · People Guide coming

Hiring agent: a pile of CVs into a shortlist of five

It writes the job ad with the role, salary range and must-haves, checks every CV against skills and experience only, shortlists the best five with a reason for each, and drafts a reply to everyone: an interview slot or a polite no.

Runs: when a new CV arrives · Tools: Claude, Gmail, Calendar

Why it pays: 76% of UAE employers struggle to fill roles (ManpowerGroup, 2026).

Your part: meet the five and make the call.

  3. 8 · Admin Guide coming

Renewals agent: every licence, visa and VAT date in view

It tracks the trade licence, Ejari, visas and insurance, reminds you 60, 30 and 7 days before each one, lists the documents each renewal needs, and watches your VAT return and payment dates.

Runs: every Monday at 8:00 · Tools: Claude, Calendar, Gmail

Why it pays: a late VAT return costs AED 1,000 the first time and AED 2,000 for a repeat (UAE FTA penalty rules).

Your part: pay and submit on time. Renewals still go through the official portals.

  4. 7 · Reputation Guide: Post 01

Reviews agent: more Google reviews, and an answer to every one

It asks for a review a day after each order or visit, in the customer’s language, drafts a short, polite reply to each review, and flags low ratings to you the same day.

Runs: once a day · Tools: Claude, Shopify, Gmail

Why it pays: 69% of UAE shoppers rely on other customers’ reviews (Kearney, 2022).

Your part: approve replies to reviews of 3 stars or less.

Post 01 covers asking for reviews, under 100 AED a month. Reply drafts aren’t in that guide yet.

  5. 6 · Social media Guide: Post 06

Marketing agent: plans, designs and posts on Instagram

It plans three posts a week around Ramadan, Eid, National Day and your offers, writes captions in Arabic and English, designs them in Canva with your logo and colours, and answers comments, sending buyers to your WhatsApp.

Runs: on a weekly schedule · Tools: Claude, Windsor.ai, Canva

Why it pays: there are more than 8 million Instagram users in the UAE (DataReportal, Digital 2026).

Your part: approve each batch of posts.

Post 06 has the full setup, from about 100 AED a month.

  6. 5 · Finance Guide: Post 02

Bookkeeping agent: receipt photos into books ready for VAT

You snap a receipt and send it on Telegram. It reads it, records it in Zoho Books, sorts the expense into the right category and lists what’s missing before the VAT deadline.

Runs: when you send a receipt · Tools: Hermes Agent, Zoho Books

Why it pays: e-invoicing becomes mandatory for businesses under AED 50m in July 2027 (UAE Ministry of Finance, via EY, 2025). Clean books now make that easier.

Your part: check its work. Your accountant still files VAT.

Post 02 has the full setup, about 60 AED a month.

  7. 4 · Cash flow Guide: Post 05

Cash agent: what’s coming in, and what’s late

It chases unpaid invoices, politely first and firmer later, tracks post-dated cheques before each is due, checks what couriers still owe you for cash on delivery and looks 13 weeks ahead for gaps.

Runs: every Monday at 8:00 · Tools: Claude, Excel, Gmail

Why it pays: 58% of B2B credit sales in the UAE are paid late (Atradius, 2025).

Your part: approve every reminder before it goes.

Post 05 covers the monthly money brief, about 73 AED a month. Chasing invoices and checking cash on delivery aren’t in that guide yet.

  8. 3 · Sales Guide: Post 04

Sales agent: new leads, fast replies and quotes chased

It finds look-alike local businesses on Google Maps, writes a first email tailored to each, replies to new enquiries within minutes and chases quotes that went quiet after 3 days, then a week.

Runs: when an enquiry arrives · Tools: Claude, Apify, Gmail

Why it pays: firms that reply to a lead within an hour are 7 times more likely to qualify it (Harvard Business Review, 2011).

Your part: approve every email and every price.

Post 04 covers finding leads and writing first emails, with a free tool plus data fees. Fast replies and quote chasing aren’t in that guide yet.

  9. 2 · Customer service Guides: Posts 03 and 12

WhatsApp agent: answers customers day and night

It answers common questions on prices, hours and delivery areas, takes orders and bookings in the same chat, answers after-sales questions and passes the tricky ones to you with a short summary.

Runs: on every new message · Tools: the WhatsApp Business app

Why it pays: 85% of UAE residents want businesses to be on WhatsApp (Zbooni and YouGov, 2024).

Your part: keep your price list current.

Post 03 sets up the free agent in the WhatsApp Business app, free to about 47 AED a month. Post 12 is the step up, with Claude, a leads sheet and a handoff to a person, about 85 AED a month.

  10. 1 · Your day Guide coming

Chief of staff: runs your day so nothing slips

It sends a morning brief of meetings, deadlines and money in and out, clears your inbox by drafting replies and filing the rest, tracks the promises you made and who owes you, and sends a Friday scorecard of sales, cash and what’s stuck.

Runs: every morning at 7:30 · Tools: Claude, Gmail, Calendar

Why it pays: 57% of UAE knowledge workers already use AI agents (HP Work Relationship Index, 2026).

Your part: make the calls it lines up.

All ten, one rule

It does the work. You make the calls. Every one of these agents reads your messages, receipts and reports, spots what needs a reply, a chase or a fix, and drafts the reply, the reminder or the report. You set its rules on prices, tone and what it may say, check the Arabic before you rely on it, and decide price changes, refunds and complaints.

None of them pays, refunds or files anything on its own.

Where to start

  1. Pick the job that eats most of your week. For most owners it’s WhatsApp, chasing money or bookkeeping.
  2. Start with one that has a guide. Six do: Posts 01 to 06, and Post 12 for WhatsApp with Claude.
  3. Run it for a month before you add a second. The first weeks are where you find the rules it’s missing.
  4. Write down every correction. Each fix goes into its instructions, so the same mistake doesn’t come back.

⚠️ Good to know

  • The four jobs without a guide are plans, not builds. Their schedules and tools are what we’d start with. Nothing has been built or tested yet, so treat them as ideas until the guide is out.
  • Three guides cover part of their job. Post 01 covers asking for reviews, Post 05 the monthly money brief and Post 04 finding leads and first emails. Each card above says which part is covered.
  • The numbers come from the sources named. Survey figures describe the UAE market, not your business. Use them to decide where to look first.
  • Two slides are out of date. Slide 12 says seven guides: it’s six, plus Post 12, a second guide for the WhatsApp job. Slide 13’s vote lists quotes, payments and renewals from an earlier draft. The jobs still waiting for a guide are research, hiring, renewals and the chief of staff.
  • Keep sensitive data out. Card numbers, IBANs, copies of Emirates IDs and passwords don’t belong in any of these tools.
