Why this series
Most small businesses use AI for the basics: drafting emails, writing captions, making images. That’s useful, but it barely scratches the surface. Agentic AI can now run routine work on its own, often for less than 100 AED a month, so your team can spend time on work that grows the business. Each week this series covers one practical automation that solves one problem.
The problem
Satisfied customers are usually happy to leave a review. Most never do, because nobody asks them at the right time. Asking by hand, one customer at a time, is exactly the kind of task that gets dropped on a busy week.
What you need
- Claude
Runs a scheduled task once a dayPaid plan - Shopify
Where your recent orders come fromConnector - Gmail
Drafts and sends the review requestsConnector - Notion
A "Review Tracker" database that logs every requestConnector
How it works
Every day, the scheduled task:
- Pulls recent orders from Shopify.
- Skips customers who were already asked, so nobody gets chased twice.
- Holds back anyone with an open complaint. You don’t want to ask an unhappy customer for a review.
- Writes a personal email that mentions the product the customer actually bought, timed for the product and the days since delivery.
- Logs each request in Notion, checks for replies to earlier requests, notes who has left a review and flags complaints to you.
⚠️ Before you switch it on
- Start with drafts only. Review and send them yourself.
- Move to automatic sending only once you trust the output.
Set it up
Connect Shopify, Gmail and Notion to Claude, create a Notion database called Review Tracker, then schedule the task with the prompt. The full prompt is in the first comment of the LinkedIn post.
Rather have it done for you?
We can set up a Review collector for your business on the tools you already use, and agree with you what needs your approval. Send us a WhatsApp message: an AI receptionist replies first with a few questions, then a person takes it from there.
