Wakil is Arabic for an agent: someone you trust to act for you, within limits you set. That’s where the name wkl.ae comes from.

A job that isn’t listed?

Tell us the task that eats your week. If an agent can take it on, we’ll tell you how, and whether you can do it yourself.

What’s happening in the UAE

The UAE is moving quickly on agentic AI, meaning AI that can carry out tasks rather than only answer questions. Dubai has set a two-year programme to bring it into the private sector, and Abu Dhabi’s chamber is offering it to its SME members.

For a small business, the tools are already affordable. The harder part is choosing the first task, and deciding what should still need a person.

Read the UAE agentic AI news

  • Dubai, May 2026A two-year programme to move Dubai’s private sector to agentic AI.
  • Dubai Chambers, September 2026Agentic AI training planned for more than 14,000 companies through its new academy.
  • Abu Dhabi Chamber, June 2026A partnership with Presight to offer agentic AI to its 102,000-plus registered SMEs, starting with a pilot.

One example, from message to record

An AC maintenance company in Dubai gets a WhatsApp message on a Thursday night. This is what the agent does, and where the owner steps in.

Illustrative example. The customer, prices and times are made up.

  1. The enquiry is checked

    WhatsApp message, 9:47 pm

Hi, how much for AC servicing in a 2-bedroom flat in JVC? Can someone come Saturday morning?

    What the agent checks

    • Price list: 2-bedroom, up to three split units, AED 250 including VAT
    • Service area: JVC is covered
    • Calendar: Saturday 9 to 11 am is free
  2. A reply is drafted for approval

    Waiting for your approval

Hi Rashid, thanks for your message. A full service for a 2-bedroom flat with up to three split units is AED 250 including VAT. We can come on Saturday between 9 and 11 am. Shall I book it?

Nothing is sent until the owner approves it. They can change the wording first.

  3. The record is updated

New row in the enquiries sheet

    Customer
    Rashid
    Area
    JVC
    Job
    AC service, 2-bedroom
    Quote
    AED 250
    Slot
    Saturday, 9 to 11 am
    Status
    Quote sent
    Follow up
    Monday, if no reply

What it won’t do here: offer a discount, promise a particular technician, or answer a complaint on its own. Those go to the owner.

How we work with you

Most people should start on their own with a guide. If you’d like help, this is what happens.

  1. Start with a free guide

Each guide lists the tools, the monthly cost and the prompt. Try it on one task first.

  2. Message us if you’d rather not

Tell us the task and the tools you already use. An AI receptionist replies first with a few questions, then a person takes it from there.

  3. Agree the limits together

We decide what it can do on its own, what needs your approval, and what it never touches, such as payments, refunds or anything legal.

  4. It starts by drafting

We set it up and it prepares work for you to approve. Once you trust it, you decide what it can send without asking.

Questions owners ask

Do I need to be technical?

No. The guides are written for business owners, not developers. If you can use WhatsApp and a spreadsheet, you can follow them. Some setups ask you to connect an account or two, and the guide shows each step.

What does it cost to run?

Most of our guides cost under 100 AED a month to run, and each one lists the monthly cost in AED. If we set something up for you, we quote after a short chat about the task.

Will it reply to my customers without me?

Only if you decide it should. Every setup starts with drafts: the agent prepares the reply and you approve it. Once you’ve seen enough good drafts, you can let it send routine replies on its own and keep approval for everything else.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes, for most tasks. Arabic replies are usually good, but have a native speaker check the first few, especially anything that goes out under your brand.

Can it make mistakes?

Yes. It can misread a document, misunderstand a message or sound more certain than it should. That’s why approval comes first, and why every guide has a section on what to check.

What should I keep away from AI tools?

Card numbers, IBANs, copies of Emirates IDs and passwords. Connect only what the task needs, and use business accounts rather than your personal phone for customer messages.

Is wkl.ae part of a government programme?

No. We’re independent. We follow the UAE’s announcements on agentic AI and summarise them on our news page, but we don’t represent any of these programmes.

Talk to us

If you’ve read a guide and got stuck, or you’d rather someone set it up with you, send us a WhatsApp message. Tell us the task and the tools you use. An AI receptionist answers first, then a person replies.
